Webinar: Discover more about the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD)

On Wednesday 4 September, FHI, MKB-Nederland and Schneider Electric will organise an interactive webinar on the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD). The webinar will provide valuable insights into this important European directive for sustainability reporting.

Program:

Eva Eijkelenboom, (Advisor accountancy & corporate governance at MKB-Nederland), explains what the CSRD exactly entails, why this guideline is so crucial and what its purpose is. In addition, Eva Eijkelenboom provides practical tips for companies to effectively get started with the CSRD.

Pim Loef, Sustainability Leader at Schneider Electric, shares how Schneider Electric is already intensively involved with sustainability reporting. In addition, he shares experiences and tips about, among other things, chain cooperation, exemptions and reporting responsibilities within a multinational.

We will conclude the webinar with an extensive Q&A session, where you can ask all your questions. In addition, we will share the plans and future activities of MKB-Nederland and we would like to hear what further help and additional information you would like from FHI and MKB-Nederland in the field of CSRD.

Why participate?

The unlisted SME falls outside the CSRD, but will feel its effects. This happens if a company from that category is part of the value chain of a reporting company and is asked to provide information. As an SME, you can anticipate this by being well informed. Make sure you are well prepared for questions and that you have insight into your own chain.

  • Learn what the CSRD entails and why this guideline is of great importance.
  • Receive practical tips to help your company get off to a good start with sustainability reporting.
  • How to check products and purchasing in your chain
  • Hear first-hand how Schneider Electric deals with CSRD and benefit from their experiences.

CSRD in brief

The CSRD requires companies to report on their sustainability performance based on various criteria. The guideline covers three main areas: Environment, Social, and Governance (ESG). What companies need to report exactly is detailed in the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS). This includes data on CO2 emissions, gender distribution at the top, human resources policies, and the management of supplier relationships and their impact on the supply chain.

The CSRD applies to large BVs, NVs, public interest entities, medium-sized and small listed companies and certain non-EU companies. Non-listed SMEs are excluded from the CSRD, but will feel its effects.

Don't miss this opportunity to learn about the CSRD and what it means for your business.
