Traditionally, industrial relays are not suitable for the reflow soldering process, which required an additional manual assembly step. The new reflow-proof relay socket RA5-1W from PTR Hartmann puts an end to this cumbersome procedure. Thanks to its clever design, the relay is simply inserted after the reflow process. The integrated suction surfaces eliminate the need for pick-and-place pads, which saves additional processing time.

The RA5-1W is available as SMD version (THR on request) and suitable for solid state and electromechanical relays with standard 3.75/5/5 mm pin layout. The sockets are supplied in tape & reel and can therefore be processed fully automatically. Due to the horizontal placement, the SMD version also saves valuable PCB space, which is a major advantage, especially in compact applications such as DIN rail housings.

In addition to production efficiency, the RA5-1W also offers technical reliability: the base complies with UL1059, IEC 60664 and DIN EN 61010. With a maximum load of 400 V / 6 A, it is suitable for almost all common slimline relays.

This combination of time savings, space savings and standard compliance makes the RA5-1W a valuable component in modern, automated production environments.
