Eurocircuits has developed PCB Visualizer in recent years, containing various tools that allow the bare printed circuit board (bare board) to be checked in detail prior to the production process. This has reduced an original error rate of 25% to less than 3%.
Based on this success, the company has now continued with the development of PCB Assembly Visualizer or simply: PCBA Visualizer. This tool, very useful for the developer as well as for EMS companies (Electronic Manufacturing Service), is an addition to PCB Visualizer and checks whether the PCB design matches the BOM (Bill of Materials) and the CPL (Component Place List).
These control possibilities are becoming increasingly important because electronic designers increasingly express the desire to outsource the assembly of their prototypes instead of assembling them themselves, which is still the norm. This is due to the increasingly complex soldering activities in combination with the high time pressure. Production data right first time supplying to the producer is of great importance here because every error can lead to a delay in the lead time. Errors that are found before the start of the effective production can be solved after consultation with the customer and this safeguards the smooth running of the production and assembly.
