Welcome to the Association of Suppliers of Weighing Instruments<\/h2><\/div>\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

The VLW was established from the road consultation platform that was set up in the 1980s, jointly with the then Weights and Measures Authority.
\nWeighing equipment suppliers are members of the VLW. The VLW is a regular contact for the Netherlands Radiocommunications Agency, the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy, Welmec, NMi, and OIML for legislation, regulation, and enforcement related to weighing technology.<\/p>\n

Besides being a consultative body, VLW is also active in collective marketing for its members. For example, a newsletter is sent two to three times a year to potential customers and end users, featuring VLW members in various ways.<\/p>\n

VLW is affiliated with the European umbrella organization CECIP. Besides the Netherlands, CECIP represents 13 other organizations at the European level. CECIP's mission is to establish a high level of standards and regulations so that administrative regulation does not hinder technical development.<\/p>\n

By becoming a member of our association, you achieve three things. First, you gain access to consultations. This gives you access to all the information currently available, both nationally and internationally. Second, your membership strengthens the association's voice in the various consultative bodies, and finally, you are included in VLW's marketing activities.<\/p>\n

\nThe annual membership fee for VLW in 2020 is \u20ac410 per company.<\/p>\n
